Puttur, Jul 3: In a strange incident, Suresh (27) from Haveri, who was working as labourer in a plantation belonging to Belandur Harishchandra Pakkala, was injured after falling into the tank in the plantation while running at the sound of firing.

Allegedly, Radhakrishna Shetty, who has a long-standing dispute about the property with Harishchandra Pakkala, fired from his gun. The labourers working in the plantation of Pakkala ran helter-skelter on hearing the sound to save their lives. In the melee, Suresh fell into the tank and injured himself. He has been admitted into Puttur hospital. A complaint has been filed with Kadaba police station.
