Mangalore, Jul 3: The four accused persons, who were held for their alleged involvement in a fake credit card fraud case, were released by a court on Thursday, on bail.

NSUI leader Tejaswi Raj, Riaz, Majeed and Sajid had been arrested by the policemen on June 30 and secured their police custody on July 1. On July 2 itself, release on bail order was issued.

Several political bigwigs reportedly worked behind the scenes to get the accused released. The police department, which normally publishes photographs of the fraudsters in cases of fraud, chose to publish the photographs of the accused in their blog, duly blocking their faces. It is learnt, that the concerned were asked to do so by the higher ups in the department.
