Kundapur, Sep 6: Keshava Koteshwar, former secretary of Spoorthi Dhama orphanage at Beloor in Kedoor village in the taluk, who is in judicial custody on the allegation of sexually exploiting orphaned girls, was denied bail. The bail application moved by Keshava was turned down by district and sessions court judge, C M Joshi.

Two complaints of sexual harassment of minor girls at Spoorthi Dhama had been filed against the accused. The police had arrested him based on these complaints during March this year.

Advocates for Keshava had earlier filed bail petition in the high court. However, the application was withdrawn before it came up for hearing. Public prosecutor, Prakashchandra Shetty Beloor, argued the case on behalf of the prosecution in the case.
