Mangaluru, Sep 6: "Those who work hard for all round development of students are true teachers. Those who have amazing capacity of communication, thorough knowledge of the subject they teach and create an atmosphere of learning, mould students for the society are called teachers," said Fr William Menezes. He addressed a gathering at the Teachers' Day programme held at Guardian Angels parish on September 1.

Padua College principal, Fr Alwyn Serrao who arrived as chief guest explained through examples the way to identify hidden talents in students, adjustments between teachers and students, subject based rapport and what should be the attitude of teachers toward students.

Fr William, Fr Alwyn, pastoral council vice president, Roshan Patrao and Fr Denzil Lobo were on the dais. Roshan Patrao welcomed everyone. Teacher Juliana Mascarenhas introduced the chief guest. Teacher Cecilia Pinto thanked the gathering. Albert Lasrado compered the programme.
