Mangalore, Jul 7: Relating to the alleged serial rape of a 16-year-old girl, a police team headed by town circle inspector Premarajan arrested Abdul Basheer (33) from Kumble, Nissar (28) from Cherur and Mustafa (48), a local man, on the evening of Monday July 6.
The police team is learnt to have got information about five other miscreants involved with the crime. The policemen hope to arrest a woman, said to be the kingpin of this racket. She is said to have masterminded the plan of taking the girl to different places and sexually abusing her. Once the woman is arrested, all the facts behind this racket might come out, the policemen believe.
The last time the girl was subjected to forceful sex was at the home of Nissar on June 25.
