Mangalore: 73 Cases of Malaria Reported in Taluk – Health Dept

Mangalore, Jul 7: A total of 73 malaria cases have been reported from within Mangalore taluk panchayat (TP) limits in the last six months, informed taluk health officer.

The information was given at the quarterly review meeting of the TP held at its office here on Monday July 6. According to health department so far 10 dengue fever cases has been reported at the taluk level with one case each of rat fever reported from Kuppepadav and Moodbidri.

In last three months, a total of 7,876 people have tested their blood sample and among them 29 persons tested positive to malaria. Mulky-Moodbidri MLA Abhaychandra Jain presided.
