Udupi, Jul 8: Shashikala (57), who used to work as an auxiliary nurse midwife in Hiriyadka government hospital before voluntarily retiring from service, died due to burn injuries on Monday July 6. The accident occurred at her residence in Janata Colony, Kajarguttu of Anjar village in the taluk.
The incident occurred when she was alone in the house. It is said, she suffered from some health complications since the last few years. She is survived by a son.
