Mangaluru: Suspected rat fever claims youth's life

Mangaluru, Sep 11: Aneesh K (28) from Kukkejalu in Haleneranki village near Uppinandady has become a victim of suspected rat fever.

Aneesh was the son of Kunhi Mugera from Kiukkejalu. Since the last four years, he was working for an arts and crafts stall relating to Pilikula Nisargadhama at Mallikatta here.

Aneesh suffered from symptoms of fever all of a sudden on September 5. He was admitted into a private hospital in the city. He failed to respond to treatments and breathed his last. Victim's brother, Krishna, said that the doctors at the hospital told him that Aneesh died as rat fever aggravated.
