Bengaluru, Sep 11: State BJP General Secretary N Ravi Kumar, MLC, has ridiculed former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah as a ‘failed and discredited’ person with questionable antecedents.
In a press release, Kumar said the Congress leader had no right to speak about BJP as he stabbed the party that gave him political baptism and joined the Congress to satisfy his lust for power.
“Siddaramaiah does not have even an iota of moral right to speak about the BJP and our President. He would do well to look back at the results of the 2018 Assembly and 2019 Lok Sabha elections,’’ he said.
After having ‘ruled and ruined’ the state for five years from 2013 to 2018, the people defeated the Congress party headed by Siddaramaiah and that 'resounding slap on the face of the Congress' was repeated by the people in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he said pointing out that Congress party bit the dust under Siddaramaiah and people have beaten the Congress of Siddaramaiah black and blue.
The BJP leader said the two characteristic features of the miserable performance of Siddaramaiah-led regime are the cold-blooded and inhuman murder of Hindu workers in various parts of the state and pushing the economy to bankruptcy.
“People have taught a ‘befitting’ lesson to Siddaramaiah, yet he has the cheek to comment on the BJP President. His own die-hard followers have explained in great detail how he has backstabbed H D Deve Gowda, D K Shivakumar, Dr G Parameshwar and H D Kumaraswamy,’’ he said pointing out that Shivakumar’s mother had said that it was “Siddaramaiah who had engineered the IT raid on their residence in 2017.’’
BJP need not learn anything from such a double-tongued man. Organisational elections take place periodically in the BJP, Kumar said declaring that the party will collectively decide who should become the president. Even an ordinary worker can become the party president in the BJP.
On the contrary, Siddaramaiah’s party is so helpless that it has not been able to choose a new president and also a Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly. BJP rejects Siddaramaiah’s remarks made against the BJP with the contempt it deserves, he added.
