Mangalore: Bodies of Victims who were washed away, Recovered

Mangalore, Jul 10: The body of Rajashree (25), daughter of Muddu Acharya from Kanaradi in Manipur near Katpady, who had been swept away by the overflowing Manipur rivulet on Tuesday July 7, was recovered from a spot at Muduka near Kodangala on the evening of Thursday July 9. Rajashree, who had gone to buy some items from a shop, had been washed away due to the force of the floods that had inundated the fields, through which she had to pass to reach the shop.

The body of Ashraf, who had been dragged into the sea by high waves from Pattampadi in Ucchila near Ullal Someshwar, was found at Kunjathur sea shore near Talapady on Thursday July 9 afternoon. Ashraf (22), son of Basheer, owner of hotels, was enjoying the sight of the furious sea on Thjursday alongwith two other friends, when waves had dragged him into the sea.
