Bangalore: Staff of Private TV Channel Threatened

BANGALORE, Jul 12 (The Hindu): A few persons, who claimed that they were connected to underworld don Ravi Poojary, went to the office of a private TV channel at Rehmant Nagar in Indiranagar police station limits on Saturday and threatened its employees.

They also hit a car driver. The reason for the attack is not known.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar said a group of people came to the UTV office and threatened the employees there. They hit car driver Jamal, damaged a computer and smashed glass door. They left a piece of paper that said this was the last warning to the UTV owner in Mumbai.

Mr. Kumar said the police were not sure if the persons who threatened the office staff and damaged property were indeed Ravi Poojary’s men. The Indiranagar police have registered a case.

It has become a fashion these day to be an imposter. Being a media firm, the TV Channel firm should be having CCTV footage. Images of which can be sent to Ravi Poojari thus making police job easy. Poojary will deal with his opponent if the men do not belong to him or give an account for the act.
