Bantwal: Seven injured in Rickshaw-Jeep Collision

Bantwal, Jul 14: A jeep proceeding towards Kudtamugeru was involved in a head-on collision with a rickshaw coming from the opposite direction at the Nettarakere bend near Vittal on Sunday July 12 afternoon. As both the vehicles rolled over due to the impact of the accident, seven people were injured.

Rickshaw passengers Hamid (40), Mariamma (60) and Nebishat Misriya (3) from Kodungayi village were admitted into a hospital in Mangalore with serious injuries.

Rickshaw driver Aitappa (52) from Vittal Alangar, other rickshaw passengers Tajuddin from Radhukatte and Ibrahim from Karkada and jeep passenger Sanjeeva Poojary drom Kudriya were admitted into Puttur hospital as the nature of their injuries has not been grave.
