Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Jul 14: The service road laid in B C Road by the side of the national highway 48 for being used for vehicular traffic during the fly over work proposed to be undertaken from next week onwards, was opened for the movement of light vehicles on Monday July 13 on an experimental basis. Two-wheelers, auto rickshaws and taxies moved on the road on Monday and they did not encounter any major problems.

It is learnt, the service road can not be opened for general traffic without banning the movement of trucks, tankers and other heavy vehicles on the national highway. The road up to a stretch of about 70 metres has been completed now. The officials have not come up with clarification about the proposal to lay another service road in front of Bharat Store.

People of the region hope that the fly over work will be undertaken and completed by Ircon Company at the earliest, so that their prolonged ordeal will finally come to an end.
