Udupi, Jul 14: District treasury officer S Gopal (58) breathed his last due to illness on Monday July 13 afternoon. He had been not well since the last several days and was being treated in a hospital.
Gopal, who had served the department for 33 years, was serving as the district treasury officer since the last two years. Earlier, he had worked as the assistant treasury officer in Kundapur. He is survived by wife, two daughters and a son.
District Employees Association president Subrahmahya Serigar, information officer Junjanna and employees of the district treasury office have condoled his death.
