Mangalore, Jul 14: In an incident that occurred at a lodge located near Rao and Rao Circle in the city, a man named Vijay H K alias Vijay Kumar (55), who had hired a room on Saturday July 11, was found to have died in his room on Monday July 13 afternoon. Reportedly, he breathed his last, while sitting on his cot with his back to the wall and a cigarette in hand.
At around 2.30 pm on Monday July 13, he had informed the lodge manager that the room would be vacated by 3 pm. When the room boy went to the room at 3 pm, it was found that the man had died. In the lodge, he had furnished his address as Vijay H K, son of the late Krishnappa Poojary, resident of Sampigenagar, Udupi whereas a visiting card of his showed his name as Vijay Kumar, Reliance Communications, Karwar.
The Bunder policemen are trying to establish his identity with the help of the mobile phone found in the room.
