Bengaluru, Sep 26: A young man, who had visited Sai Palace Lodge in Kirloskar Layout here near Bagalgunte on Tuesday September 24 was found to have ended his life inside the lodge toilet. City (north) division deputy commissioner of police, Shashikumar, stated that the 21-year-old lady accompanying the man is being questioned.

The deceased, Kartik, a resident of MEI Layout near Bagalgunte, and the lady in question used to work for Herbal Life Company here. Both had come close of late. In the recent past, the lady's family had arranged her marriage with another youth. Kartik too had a lover of his own. The lady called Kartik by cellphone on Tuesday evening and asked him to come to Kirloskar Layout where they stayed in a lodge.

In the meanwhile, the would-be husband of the lady had called her on her cellphone. The girl received the call although she was with another youth. On this issue, there was fight between the lady and Kartik, it is said. The lady then went to sleep. She woke up at 6.30 am on Wednesday and found that Kartik was missing. She informed the lodge staff, who searched for him and forcibly opened the toilet door. Katik was found to have hanged himself inside the toilet.

Bagalgunte police have registered a case. Probe is on.
