Hello, happy hair!

New Delhi, Oct 2 (IANSlife): A haircut can not only perk up your look, but also your mood. Looks Salon, one of India's premium luxury salon chains, recently launched The Carecut (TCC) scissors, a novel technology created by Jaguar that uses high-quality electronically controlled blades to cut hair. The blades are gently heated to seal the hair ends thus resulting in no split ends. The technology works on all hair types, including fine, normal and thick hair.

Jaguar's international hair expert from Germany, Robin Huth said: "The most important thing for me about TCC is that it is an organic way to protect your hair ends without using too many products. A cut from TCC, not just makes you look good but also gives you a shiny hair with healthy hair tips and no split ends. This technology is not available in every salon. Only about 10 or so of the 1.1 million hair salons in Mumbai have it."

So how should one keep their hair healthy and stylish? "Normally for long hair, one should use Argan oil both before and after a blow dry, on wet hair and on dry hair. After a blow dry, take a drop on your hands and blend it through the hair to make it shiny and smooth. A crème for straightened hair for clean sharp styles and a powder if you want to create structure in short hair. Nothing more needs to be done," added Huth.

"For thick and natural hair a drop of oil is good. Wash it twice a week and shampoo very gently. And maybe use a dry shampoo mid week with a blow dry. Don't use too much of comb or hair spray when your head is wet," he said.

And a special tip: Always sleep with a low bun at the nape of your neck to avoid breakage.
