Udupi, Jul 25: Sri Rama Sene on Friday July 24 has demanded immediate implementation of the ban order on the cow slaughter in the state.

Sene urging to pass legislation against cow slaughter submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa through in-charge deputy commissioner Prasanna Kumar. In the memorandum sene stated that the slaughtering of the cows hurts the religious sentiments of the Hindus and the State is dominated by the Hindus. The cow slaughter in previous many occasions in the state has led to many unpleasant incidents, which have ended in communal riots. The only solution for such incidents and also to maintain peace is to implement a ban order on cow slaughter, the Sene added.

State co-ordinator Arun Putila, district co-ordinator Rajesh Yermal and state joint co-ordinator Jeethesh Yermal among others were present.
