Kundapur: Lifeless body of lady found on railway tracks

Kundapur, Oct 11: The body of a lady was found lying on the railway tracks at Kedoor near Thekkatte in the taluk on Thursday October 10 morning. The mortal remains were thoroughly mutilated.

The police of Kota station, after putting in lot of efforts till evening, finally succeeded in identifying the victim. The body was found to be belonging to Girijamma Shetty (72), a local. She was a resident of Valaginapalu House near Kedoor school.

As per the current assessment, Girijamma is believed to have committed suicide. She was suffering from chronic health problems and therefore was mentally disturbed. Because of this stress, she is believed to have ended her life by falling across a moving train.

This information was given to the police by the daughter of the late Girijamma.
