Mysuru, Oct 11: An annual general body meeting of Konkani Christian Association (R), Mysuru (KCA, Mysuru) was recently held at Konkan Bhavan, Mysuru and the following office bearers were chosen for the next two-year term 2019-2021.

Anthony Harry Pinto - Vice-president (male)
Joseline Priya Lobo - Vice-president (female)
Sylvester D'Mello - Joint secretary (male)
Maria Freeda D'Costa - Joint secretary (female)
Similarly, the following eight members were chosen as committee members: Stany Lobo, Premanand D'Mello, Lawrence Pereira, Anand Pinto, Maxim Vaz, Keerthi Deep D'Souza, Vishwas D'Souza and Prema Pinto. Anil Saldanha and Alfred Vaz were chosen as internal auditors.
It is worthwhile to note that all these years the office bearers and committee members were chosen unanimously and there were no elections held so far.
KCA, Mysuru has a record existence of nearly 38 years and has been doing social, cultural and different activities related to Konkani. The association has been helping poor students and needy, irrespective of caste and creed, in different ways. It has a membership of nearly 750 families and more than 1500 life members. The association has its hall named 'Konkan Bhavan' which can accommodate more than 700 persons.
It will celebrate its 40th anniversary in July 2020.
