Bengaluru: High court dismisses bail applications of IMA scam accused

Bengaluru, Oct 12: The high court denied bail to five of the accused in the multi-crore cheating case while granting bail to one.

The single judge bench of the high court presided over by Justice K N Phaneendra had concluded hearing in the bail applications of the accused and reserved its orders. The orders were pronounced on Friday.

Moulavi Hanif Afsar Ajzizi, Mohammed Akbar Sharif alias Ummer Sharif, A Nizamuddin, Afsar Pasha and Sanaulla had filed bail applications, all of which were denied. The court however granted bail to Syed Mujahid, former corporator of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.
