Mangalore, Jul 30: In connection with the recent incident in which flesh of some animal had been tossed inside the compound of the Police Line mosque in the city by unknown persons, the policemen of Pandeshwar station have arrested a man named Ganesh alias Vasant. Activists of Bajrang Dal and other Hindu organizations staged a protest on Tuesday July 28 night, alleging that the policemen had arrested an innocent person two days back and that he had been tortured by them.

The activists, who got information that Vasant had been arrested and lodged in the police station,  resorted to a flash protest. They urged the policemen either to produce the arrested man before a court or release him immediately. They also demanded for a medical examination of the arrested man to determine the extent of injuries if any, suffered by him.

The Pandeshwar policemen produced the man at the court, where he denied that he had been tortured. He stated that he had been arrested at about 4 pm on Tuesday. He has been remanded to two days judicial custody.

Vishwa Hindu Parishat leaders Jagadish Shenava, Shivanand Mendon and Harish Amtady led the protestors.

Jagadish Shenava, Shivanand Mendon and Harish Amtady, for once, rest the temple, mosque, flesh, descecration issues. You seem to be uptodate with current affairs, have time on your hands and are close to administrative places, so take up the issues of government looting public by means of taxations, fees, MLA salary hike etc. You would be serving more BRETHERN and bettering the HINDU RASHTRA.
