Mangalore: Angelore Parish organizes Inter-Ward Bible Quiz

Mangalore, Jul 31: An inter-ward Bible quiz was held at Capitanio pre-university college auditorium, here recently, as part of the year-long platinum jubilee celebrations of Guardian Angel parish, Angelore. 

The Bible quiz was inaugurated by Angelore parish priest Fr Stany B Lobo, by lighting the lamp.  Four contestants from each of the 19 wards, a total of 76 participants took part in the contest.

St Michael ward (1) contestants won the first place while St Joseph’s ward (1) and Gabriel ward (3) won the second and third places respectively. All the finalists were felicitated with certificates and mementoes. The winners of first, second and third prizes were awarded with cash prizes.

Angelore assistant parish priests Fr Maxim D’Souza and Fr Anil Castelino were present throughout the Bible quiz.

The Religious and spiritual committee members Sr Humblin, Mary Patrao, Albert Lasrado, Jacinta Pinto and Edwin Cutinho, organized the Bible quiz, with the active involvement of assistant parish priest Fr Gratian Alvares.

Sr Harriet and Sr Shalini conducted the Bible quiz. 

Sr Humblin welcomed the gathering.  Mary Patrao proposed vote of thanks. Edwin Coutinho compered the programme.
