Bengaluru: Dead rat in Vidhana Soudha causes embarrassment to CM before foreign dignitaries

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Oct 15: The state government has to bow its head in shame in front of the foreign dignitaries, who had arrived to hold meetings with CM Yediyurappa, at the Vidhana Soudhan on Monday, October 14 due to the foul smell that was emanating from a dead rat.

In the wake of this shameful and embarrassing situation, chief minister B S Yediyurappa shifted the venue of the meetings with the foreign delegates to his rooms on the third floor of the house.

Certain delegations, including the Indian ambassador to Iran, had to meet CM Yediyurappa in Room number 313 of the Vidhana Soudha on the morning of Monday. But the room was filled with stink due to a dead rat. However, the foreign delegates were waiting in the same room, in the unbearable stench, for the arrival of the chief minister. When CM Yediyurappa arrived at the said room, he was taken aback by the foul smell and immediately ordered the meetings to be shifted to his room on the third floor.

Chief minister Yediyurappa instructed the concerned officers to get the dead rat removed and make room number 313 fit for use, before proceeding to his meetings with the delegation.
