Kundapur: Women’s Friendship Meet Held at Uppunda

Kundapur, Aug 6:
“Cooperative societies are formed not merely for economic and financial activities. They must have a human face, that would lead to holistic development,” said B Nityanand Rao, founder president of Karnataka Electricity Corporation Employees Co-Operative Society.
 
Speaking at the valedictory function, held on the occasion of Varamahalaxmi Festival and the general body meeting of the Uppunda Women’s Multi-Purpose Co-Operative society, Nityanand Rao said that the human-oriented activities carried out by Uppunda Women’s cooperative Society were certainly commendable and praiseworthy.
 


On this occasion, Nityanand Rao also distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions, organized by Women’s Society, on the occasion of Varamahalaxmi Festival.  
 
Women’s Society president Varamahalaxmi Holla felicitated a successful woman entrepreneur named Preema Bhat, at the venue.
 
Udupi district Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president and Women’s Co-Operative Society advisor Uppunda Chandrashekar Holla delivered an introductory address. 
 
Veena Shanbhag sang the prayer song. Savithri Upadhya welcomed the gathering. Nagamma proposed the vote of thanks. Jyothi S Mayya compered the programme.
