Mangalore, Aug 7: Konkani Sahitya Academy and the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), jointly organized a day’s workshop for Konkani teachers of Class VIII, in order to familiarize them with teaching a few difficult lessons in Konkani textbooks, in the new academic year. It was held at the DIET Auditorium, located at Jail Road, here recently.
Konkani Sahitya Academy president Narayan Kharvi Kundapur presided over the programme. Konkani Prachar Sanchalan president Roy Castelino was the chief guest of the occasion. DIET principal Philomena Lobo was the guest of honour.
Steven Quadros, Aloysius D’Souza and Fr Pratap Naik, were the resource persons.
Almost all the teachers from the entire Dakshina Kannada (DK) district, teaching Konkani in Class VIII, attended the workshop.
