Moodigere, Aug 7: In a delayed report received from Bharatibail village within Banakal police station limits in the taluk, a couple that had been frustrated with life, killed their two children before hanging themselves, on Wednesday August 5 night.
Suresh (40) and Shalini (28), who used to stay in a building belonging to the local gram panchayat, chose to kill their children Sunil (4) and Sahana (2) by smothering them, before hanging themselves by using a single sari.
Suresh from Kerala had come here a few years ago, seeking employment. He had later loved a local girl Shalini, and settled down in the village after marrying her. Reportedly, the couple was facing financial problems.
A case has been registered in Banakal police station.
