Bangalore: Swine Flu Epidemic - Haj Pilgrims Urged to Reconsider Their Pilgrimage

Bangalore, Aug 9: State Haj Committee has urged aged, pregnant women and children not to undertake Haj pilgrimage this year as swine flu epidemic is widespread in the world. On the advice of government of Saudi Arabia, Indian government too has warned Haj pilgrims against the flu.

In this backdrop committee member Sayyed Imtiaz Hyder in a press meet here has advised aged, pregnant women and children against undertaking Haj pilgrimage. He said that it is better that the others intending to undertake Haj pilgrimage take necessary precautions as well as take medicines to prevent swine flu before venturing into Haj pilgrimage.
