Bangalore: SC Chief Justice Balakrishnan Conferred Honorary Doctorate

Bangalore, Aug 10: Supreme Court (SC) chief justice K J Balakrishnan was conferred honorary doctorate by Gulbarga University on Sunday August 9.

Governor H R Bharadwaj presented the doctorate at a simple ceremony at raj Bhavan here. Balakrishnan on receiving the doctorate said that the honour has increased his responsibility towards his profession as well as society at large.

Speaking on the occasion, governor particularly brought out the positive qualities in Balakrishnan, especially elaborating on concern for poor shown by the justice.
