Kundapur: Fisherman goes missing, search operations in progress

Kundapur, Nov 2: A fisherman who went for fishing in Sauparnika river in between Kannadakudru and Gujjadi in the morning on Friday, November 1 is reported missing.

The missing person is identified as David Carvalho (43), resident of Nayakawadi, Gujjadi village, Kundapur.

He was a centering worker by profession and used to go for fishing when free. He had gone for fishing on Friday morning to Sauparnika river as usual. He had gone at about 9 am and went missing since then. He is feared to be drowned.



His family members, who did find him after looking for him in the surroundings, complained to Gangolli station police. Police and fire brigade personnel started searching in the river. David has wife and three children.
