Udupi, Nov 2: In collaboration with Karnataka Rajya Sahakara Pattina Sangha Mahamandala and Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society Limited, here, a one-day workshop was organized for the staffs, administrative directors and chief management officers of Pattina Sahakara Sangha of all the districts under Mysuru division at Jagannatha Sabha Bhavana, Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society Limited, in the city on November 2.
The programme was inaugurated by Sanjeev Kanchan, president of Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society Limited,Udupi and presided over by K Lalitha G T Gowda, president of Karnataka State Sahakara Pattina Sangha Mahamandala, Bengaluru.
Adressing the people present at the workshop, Lalitha said that the workshop will have resource persons to train the employees and clarify their problems and doubts. "E-Stamping facility is already present in 1,200 societies and more and detailed information regarding this will be explained by the resource persons." She thanked the people for electing her as the president and announced that a federation meeting will be held soon regarding the problems faced in societies and an attempt will be made to contact the finance minister of India, Nirmala Sitaraman to discuss the problems of the society.
Yashpal B Suvarna, president of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada Fish Federation said that nationalized banks play a vital role in economic growth for the nation. Societies also play a vital role in rural areas and contribute to the economy of the country. "We need to adapt ourselves to the change. Today, under RBI’s guidelines there has been changes in the banking services. Workshops like this will be beneficial and proper knowledge will be imparted by the resource persons."
Jayakar Shetty Indrali greeted the gathering and said that to educate employees, resource persons have been invited from different parts of the state. "Personality development and knowledge will be imparted to the employees at the workshop. This workshop will be an interactive session where doubts of the employees will be clarified by the resource persons."
Chittaranjan Bolar, director of Karnataka Rajya Sahakara Pattina Sangha Mahamandala, Bengaluru, Sanjeev Kanchan, president of Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society Limited Udupi, Jayakar Shetty Indrali, president of Udupi district Sahakara Union, Udupi, Yashpal Suvarna, president of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada Fish Federation, Dr Sanjaya Hosamata, Guruprasad, Ashok Kumar Shetty, director of Kendra Sahakara Bank, Mangaluru were present at the programme.
