Udupi: Key Player in Medico-legal Autopsy Dr Saralaya Passes Away

Udupi, Augusts 13: Dr K Muralidhar Saralaya (66), a medical doctor known to be one of the key players in beginning medico-legal autopsy in undivided Dakshina Kannada district passed away after a brief illness at Manipal on Monday August 10.

Dr Saralaya, who started his medical career in 1973, joined KMC, Manipal, in 1974. He retired as professor and head of the department of Forensic Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore in June 2008. 
 
Dr Saralaya held various positions in Karnataka Medico-Legal Society including that of its president. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
