Kolar, Nov 5: In a heart-rending incident which happened at Malur in the district on Monday, November 4, a girl student of a college died on the spot after she got crushed between two buses.
She has been identified as Deepika (16), first PU student of the government PU college in Malur town. She is from Talukunte village in the taluk.
As usual, Deepika, after the college hours, had reached the town bus stand and was trying to board a private bus to her village, when she got sandwiched between the private bus and a government bus and breathed her last instantly.
Condemning the incident, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, Dalit Sangharsh Samiti, Karnataka Praja Vedike, students and people held protest by blocking the Malur -Kolar road.
