Karwar, Nov 6: It is common to slap fine on riders of two-wheeler for not wearing helmet. However, in a bizarre incident reported from Dandeli near here, a truck driver was fined for not wearing helmet.

Police have become the butt of jokes for issuing fine challan to Nazeer Ahamad, driver of TATA 409 truck citing the offense as not wearing helmet. This notice is sent to the residence of driver Nazeer Ahamad. In the notice, it is clearly mentioned that 409 Lorry.

This notice, which is signed by ASI of Dandeli rural police station, which states that the driver of lorry 409 is fined for not wearing helmet has created a controversy now.

    May be traffic police was drunk. so don't know what is wrote. In such cases till disciplinary shall be taken immediately by his seniors so other too learn a lesson .
