Bantwal, Nov 7: The lifeless body of youth along with a two-wheeler were found in river water under Rayarabettu bridge in Vittal Casba village. The police have registered a case of a suspicious death.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil (23), resident of Paiseli in Somwarpet taluk. He had arrived at the residence of a relative at Mangalapadavu on November 3. He later had gone missing. The family members, after searching for him at various places, filed a complaint in Vittal police station.
The mortal remains were found on Wednesday, November 6 afternoon. A detailed check confirmed that the body belonged to Sunil. The police could not determine whether it was accidental death or whether he was killed and his body was tossed there.
The police are investigating.
