Bantwal, Nov 8: In an unfortunate incident, a tipper lorry hit a stone quarry worker at Ira here on Thursday, November 7 killing him on the spot.
The deceased worker was Manjeshwar resident Sayyed Subaan (39). He was working in the stone quarry belonging to Veeranna Kutty at Muloor, Ira village when the lorry hit him. His colleague Umar in the police complaint has stated that Suban fell in the quarry when hit by the lorry and died.
It is said that locals gave a statement to the police expressing their suspicions about his death.
A police case in this connection is registered in Bantwal rural police station. Investigations have continued.
