Puttur, Nov 8: A young man who had ventured into a rivulet was washed away due to the strong draught of water, and lost his life. This incident happened on Thursday, November 7.

The victim of this accident was K A Jacob, son of Abraham K, resident of Kunnat House, Shiradi village. He had entered Gundia rivulet at Udane when he was swept away by the force of water. The locals went in search of him, and found that he was no more.

On the basis of complaint filed about this unnatural death by Rajesh, brother of the deceased, a case stands registered.
