Beltangady, Nov 9: In an incident which happened at Uchchoor within the limit of Venoot police station on Thursday, a man jumped into a well and ended his life.
Chandashekhar (45) from Pijattakatte House lost his life in this incident. He had got up early on Thursday morning and had gone away. As he did not come back for long, the family members went in search of him. They found his body floating in the well of a neighbour's courtyard.
Chandrashekhar, it is learnt, was suffering from some mental problems since the last five years. The brother of the deceased, in a statement filed in Venoor station, said that Chandrshekhar would have got frustrated on account of this ailment and therefore decided to end his life. On the basis of this statement, a case of unnatural death was registered in the police station.
