Mangalore: `Bale Tulu Kalpuga', Tulu classes in UAE Soon

Mangalore, Aug 25: `Bale Tulu Kalpuga', Tulu classes for those interested to learn the language organized by Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy will be started in UAE soon.

It has been planned to start classes in Abu Dhabi from where it will be extended to Dubai and Sharjah. Organisations in UAE such as Tulukoota and Tulu Sangha have assured to extend co-operation to begin Tulu classes in Abu Dhabi.

Mani M Rai, Tulu teacher from Mangalore will leave for Abu Dhabi as a teacher. All the Tulu organizations in UAE including Tulukoota and Kannada organizations have assured of their co-operation to spread Tulu in Arab countries.

A decision with regard to the launching of Tulu classes in UAE will be taken at a seminar to be held at Tulu Chavadi here on Tuesday August 25. Academy president Paltady Ramakrishna Achar will preside, while resource persons, Damodar Nisarga and Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli will participate in the discussion.

    Thanks .. its really important for us kids, who have grown up here and have lost the touch of our culture and mother tongue.. We need to touch pace with our traditions and our mother tongue this is really a nice effort made by Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy .. I hope it works well...

    We must recommend our future generation to learn this language, hailing from Tulu Belt (Udupi, DK, Kasargod). This way we can claim this language to be included in the Indian Constitution as one of the official language. Sizable number of people in the overseas converse in this language. "Polrluda Bhashe Tulu". All the best.
