Mangalore: ICYM Cordel Parish Unit Celebrates Teachers’ Day

Mangalore, Sep 2:
Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of Holy Cross parish, Cordel organized Teachers’ Day celebrations at Frad Saib hall, here recently.
 
Holy Cross parish priest Fr Valerian Pinto inaugurated the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Fr Pinto laid emphasis on members of ICYM developing positive attitude in life.


 

Professor Eric Patrao was the resource person. He stressed on the role of teachers in the society. He called on teachers not to compromise with Constitution and inculcate moral values in students.
 
Denis Peris was the chief guest. Holy Cross assistant parish priest Fr Arun Lobo, parish council vice-president Victor Vaz, ICYM animator Susheel Noronha and ICYM parish unit president Alwyn Tauro were present.
 
ICYM parish unit presented mementoes to the teachers as a token of love on the occasion. ICYM secretary Precilla Deena Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks. Apurba Sequeira compered the programme.
