Bantwal: Govt is bound to introduce teacher friendly transfers – Education minister Suresh Kumar

Bantwal, Dec 17: “The government is bound to implement teacher friendly transfer policy soon. Government is thinking over implementing pension scheme in the next Vidha Sabha session,” said minister of education Suresh Kumar.

He was speaking during inauguration of new building of Vamadapadav PU College, college anniversary and scholarship distribution at Vamadapadav on Tuesday.

“A counselling centre for skill development in the college will be thought over seriously,” he said. “We have released Rs 3.9 lacs for schools damaged in natural calamities,” he said.

MLA Rajesh Naik who presided over the programme, said that the education department has got an excellent minister and more funds will be available for education in the district.

MLC Bhoje Gowda said that we are fortunate to have disciplined Suresh Kumar as education minister.

Chief guest, zilla panchayat president Meenakshi Shantigodu, vice president Kasturi Panja, zilla panchayat member A Thungappa Bangera, taluk panchayat president Chandrahas Karkera, vice president Abbas Ali, former Vidhan Parishat member Ganesh Karnik, Chennaithodi gram panchayat president Yatish Shetty, Balabhavana society former president Sulochana Bhat, deputy director of public instruction Walter D’Mello and other education officials were present.

Vice president Raghavendra Ballal, Janata Bazar director Purushotham Shetty, college lecturers, school teachers and school development committee members were present.

Contractor Harkady was felicitated. Higher mark getters in SSLC were felicitated. Rs six lac was distributed among 62 flood victim students. Principal Sridhar H G welcomed. Lecturer Radhesh Tholpady compered the programme.
