Bengaluru, Dec 19: Central crime branch (CCB) officials, on Wednesday, December 18, questioned Aravind Reddy, owner of Bellary Tuskers team under Karnataka Premier League (KPL) relating to the alleged match fixing scandal in KPL matches.

The CCB officials claim that Reddy had kept constant contact with Ashfaq Ali, owner of Belagavi Panthers, and they have evidence to believe that Reddy had a hand in match fixing scandal. They had registered case in Cubbon Park police station, but Aravind Reddy had escaped to a foreign nation after which lookout notice was issued for him.

During the time he was in hiding, Aravind Reddy had filed anticipatory bail application in the court. The court granted conditional bail, duly instructing him to cooperate with the investigation. In this backdrop, the CCB officials who had summoned him for questioning at the CCB office, questioned him for three hours. After recording his statement, he was sent away with instructions to appear for questioning whenever needed.
