Bantwal, Dec 23: Chappara Muhurtha, as a precedent to the Ashtabandha Brahmakalashotsava and fair that will be held from January 11 to January 18 of 2020 with regard to the renovation of Navoora Shri Subraya Navooreshwara Vishnumoorthy temple, was held on Sunday under the guidance of chief priest of the temple Vekatadas Bhat and sculptor Deccharu Ganapati Shenoy.

Speaking on the occasion Devappa Kulal Panjikallu, secretary of Brahma Kalashotsava committee said, "Once the Chappara Muhurtha is over there will be an environment of Brahmakalashotsava and fair in the vicinity of the temple. The Chappara Muhurtha of today is a witness for the grand success for the upcoming Brahmakalashotsava. The renovation of the temple and the Brahmakalashotsava will be successful with the help of people of the village as well as the devotees of other areas."

President of renovation committee Ananda Theertha, executive president of Brahmakalashotsava committee Muralidhar Bhat Halegetu, honorary advisor Harishchandra Bhat, administrative trustee Ramachandra Bhat, eminent persons of the society like Devappa Kulal, Karunendra Poojary, Ramachandra Gowda, Rajesh Nekkar, Suresh Kulal Beedi, Manmath Raj Kajava, Sadananda Navoora, Manohar Helegetu, chieftains of gram committee, chieftains of Brahmakalashotsava committee and members of Mahila Samiti were present.
