Kundapur, Sep 15: City unit of Public Forum urged the National Highway (NH) Authority to undertake repairs to NH - 17, passing through the taluk, here on Monday September 15.
K N Mohammed, convener of city unit of Public Forum and state secretary Rama Diwan among others presented a memorandum to the assistant engineer of NH taluk division, urging the NH authority to undertake urgent repairs to NH 17, as the stretch of highway is in deplorable condition.
The protestors added that the stretch of the highway is posing hazards to vehicular traffic and pedestrians. The motorists and pedestrians face severe hardships owing to the pathetic condition of the road which is filled with large potholes and worn asphaltation.
