Byndoor, Dec 31: A girl student of Barkur first grade college, who was on a visit to her parents during Christmas holidays, accidentally fell into a well and lost her life. This tragic incident happened at Navunda near here on Sunday December 29.
The unfortunate victim of this tragedy was Preethi (19), daughter of Babu Mogaveera from Bagaladi in Kudrakodu. On Sunday, she was drawing water from the well of the house which does not have a protective deck. The rope attached to the pitcher suddenly snapped, and Preethi fell into the well along with the rope and the pulley. She instantly drowned and breathed her last.
A case in this connection was filed in Byndoor police station.
