Mangaluru, Dec 31: JCI Ganeshpura and Dhoomavathi Friends Circle (R), Krishnapura in association with KMC Hospital here organized a blood donation camp at Shree Sarala Dhoomavathi Daivasthana, Krishnapura.

President of JCI Ganeshpura, Sharath Kumar presided over the function. Ashwini Aithal, zone director - Programmes of JCI Zone 15, was the chief guest.

Girish R, president of Shree Sarala Dhoomavathi Daivasthana, Krishnapura and Vijay H R, president and Devendra Koitian, working president of Dhoomavathi Friends Circle (R), Krishnapura were the guests of honour.

Dr Sowmya of KMC Hospital explained the benefits of blood donation and dispelled superstitions relating to donating blood. Chethana escorted the guests to the dais.

Jaycerette president, Shubha Sharath thanked the gathering. Members of JCI Ganeshpura and Dhoomavathi Friends Circle (R) and volunteers from the public donated blood in large numbers.
