Udupi: City’s Leading Sand Artists Create Sun Temple at Malpe Beach

The artists of Manipal Sand Art and city -ased Artists’ Forum created a sand sculpture of the Sun temple of Konark at Malpe beach here on Sunday September 27 to mark the World Tourism Day. 
 


The sculpture created by artists Srinath Manipal, Venky Palimar and Ravi Hirebettu impressed a large number of people aho frequented the beach on the day. Sculptors said that it was aimed to create general awareness on the importance of tourism and the significance of World Tourism Day celebrations. 
 
The sculpture was sponsored by city-based Cox and Kings.
