Mangalore, Oct 2: B Chandras Rai, who was hitherto functioning as an English lecturer at the government PU College at Keyyur, Puttur taluk, has been appointed as the new registrar of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, having its office in the city.

Rai took over from the in-charge registrar, H S Shivarudrappa, on September 26.  He has good command over Tulu, Kannada and English. Besides being a good theatre personality and orator, he is an accomplished Yakshagana and Talamaddale artiste.
