Karkala: Accidental Fall into Well Kills Two Siblings

Karkala, Oct 5: In an unfortunate incident that occurred at Nitte village of the taluk on Saturday October 3, two siblings died when they accidentally fell into a well with no surrounding walls.

The deceased siblings have been identified as Suraksha (10) and Rakshita (5), residents of Pakkidabettu. The girls fell into the well along with their mother Savita accidentally while going to a nearby shop in Nitte village, it is said.

Though locals tried to save the three by immediately rescuing by lifting them up from the well, the children were brought up dead. Savita is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Nitte and is out of danger.

Suraksha, who has been living with her father, a mechanic in Mudigere had come down to her native during the holidays. Rural police have registered a case.
