Udupi: 'Harsha' Mangalore Branch Manager Killed in Road Accident

Udupi, Oct 6: Srinath (36), manager of the Mangalore branch of 'Harsha', a showroom for different brands of electronic, electrical and household articles, breathed his last in an accident occurred between his car and a private bus near Kallapu, Katpady, near here, at around 10 pm on Sunday October 4. Srinath also happened to be the grandson of 'Harsha' founder, Bola Poojary.

As usual, Srinath was returning to his home at Ambalpady in the town on Sunday, after the Mangalore show room of 'Harsha' was closed, in his car. The accident occurred at Moodabettu Kallapu bend on national highway 17. The bus involved in the accident was moving to Bangalore from here, and Srinath himself was driving the car. The car was badly mangled in the accident.

As soon as the accident occurred, the local people and the policemen rushed to the spot and admitted Srinath, who was critically injured, into Manipal Hospital, but Srinath could not be saved.

Srinath was unmarried. He is survived by his parents and a younger brother. All the show rooms of 'Harsha' located at different cities of the state, will remain closed on Monday October 5, as a mark of respect for the deceased.

    It is a great expirience to visit harsha udupi.Last year i visited their. In my opinion all staff verry polite deal with customer.Verry sad news this branch manager killed in Road accident.we Pray to his family a great loss.

    This is really a shocking news. While in Mangalore, I had the pleasure of meeting srinath several times when buying appliances for my new home. He came across as a really friendly, service oriented and great human being. May god bless him and may his sould rest in peace.
